Physical Therapy for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome

Why Physical Therapy?

Generalized joint hypermobility can lead to joint and muscle wear and tear. Unmanaged, this can lead to severe chronic pain and loss of function over time. Participating in physical therapy can help you better manage your symptoms and help improve your quality of life.

What to Expect:

When looking for a physical therapist, it is important to find someone that is familiar with the EDS diagnosis, as well as the common comorbidities and complications that come along with this diagnosis. We will discuss your diagnosis and assorted symptoms in detail, and take time developing a home exercise program that works for you. Additionally, we will discuss and trial different techniques for symptom management, and will refer out to a specialist if symptoms appear to be in need of a consult from another provider.
