KATHRYN

BACIGALUPO,

PT, DPT

Kathryn Bacigalupo, PT, DPT graduated from Northeastern University in 2015 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Kate now practices in Manhasset, NY at PhysioElements. Kate makes it a priority to help each of her patients take an active role in their rehabilitation in order to ensure long term success.

In 2019, Kate decided to to expand her knowledge and expertise by enrolling in the BASI Pilates Comprehensive Program. As a physical therapist, she knew the benefits of Pilates, but did not realize how much she would fall in love with the philosophy and teachings of the Pilates approach to exercise. Kate has taken a special interest in blending the principles of PT & Pilates in a way to optimize results and encourage overall wellbeing of the mind and body.

Kate specializes in working with clients with hypermobility and scoliosis. Specifically, Kate has worked with several patients with EDS. This diagnosis is a connective tissue disorder that causes loose joints, leads to overuse injuries, and effects just about every system in the body.  Kate has participated in several EDS ECHO series to further her knowledge of this patient population.

Working in an outpatient-orthopedic setting for over 5 years, Kate is skilled in treating most musculoskeletal disorders, including but not limited to:

  • Low back pain

  • Neck pain

  • Shoulder pain

  • Hip pain

  • Knee pain

  • Ankle sprains

  • Foot pain

  • Running injuries

When it comes to health, Kate has noticed how heavily society relies on medical advice and quick fixes. She has worked to create an approach to patient care that facilitates the patient to be more in the driver's seat. To allow the patient to feel more empowered.
